Choose by platform, not by logo
The main difference between IPTV devices is the app ecosystem and the way you control the player. A dedicated Fire TV or Android TV device gives you more player choice; Samsung and LG rely on the apps available for their TV operating systems; Apple TV uses tvOS; computers are useful for testing and troubleshooting.
| Device | Best for | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Fire TV | Flexible TV-first setup | Fire TV guide |
| Android / Google TV | Choice of remote-friendly players | Android TV guide |
| Samsung | Built-in Tizen apps | Samsung guide |
| LG | Built-in webOS apps | LG guide |
| Apple TV | tvOS living-room setup | Apple TV guide |
| Windows / Mac | Testing and desktop playback | Desktop guide |
Test the main screen first
If the living room is where you watch most often, judge the trial on that device. A phone or laptop can prove that credentials work, but it does not tell you whether the remote, app and EPG will feel good on the TV.
Use the setup hub after choosing the device
Once you know the platform, go to the setup hub for player, login, M3U and EPG guidance. If you already know the player you want, open that guide directly.
Keep the next step simple.
Compare the plan, check the device, or start with a trial before committing.
